Vacuum switching tube made of ceramic

A vacuum switching tube is a type of circuit breaker in electrical power engineering, in which the contacts are located to reduce the unwanted switching arc under vacuum. These switches are preferably used in medium-voltage switchgear with voltages up to approx. 40 kV.

Our vacuum switching tubes made of aluminum oxide ceramic

Alumina Systems builds frontal metallized aluminium oxide ceramic tubes which our customers connect to the metal components to form vacuum-tight vacuum interrupters by brazing. Alumina Systems has been successfully manufacturing metallized alumina ceramic tubes for vacuum switches from 20 mm to 305 mm diameter since 1970.
