Alumina Systems GmbH manufactures metallized laser tubes made of ceramics, which apart from their high precision are characterized by a special multi-layer coating made of MoMn, Ni and glass. These products have been developed in close cooperation with our customers.

Metalized laser tubes for CO₂ lasers
In a CO₂ laser, a gas mixture is used to generate the laser beam. The required high voltage in the resonator is generated for example by means of semiconductor excitation modules.
The CO₂ technology is suitable for all-rounders, which process different materials and thick sheets. Alumina Systems completed the insulating and high-voltage ceramic laser production tubes. These are metallized by means of a specially developed round printing process. Due to the high precision of the laser tubes made by Alumina Systems, the performance of the laser system could be increased by more than 20%.
Metalized laser tubes for nitrogen lasers
The nitrogen laser is a gas laser that works in pulsed mode. The excitation of the nitrogen gas is effected by a high-voltage discharge transversely to the direction of propagation of the laser beam. Alumina Systems produces the centerpiece of this type of laser, the multidirectional metallized laser tube made of alumina ceramic.
