Ceramic Energy Storage "Green Battery"

Alumina Systems GmbH has developed a new ceramic energy storage device, the "Green Battery". The ceramic energy storage system "Green Battery" revolutionizes the stationary storage of electrical energy. The system is suitable for use in homes as well as for storing large amounts of electricity, e.g. for use in wind farms, for large solar installations (supermarkets, industrial buildings, apartment buildings, municipal buildings) and for emergency power supply.

Our ceramic energy storage "Green Battery" is a so-called saline battery. Sodium nickel chloride and ceramics are used in this storage. No raw materials such as lithium or cobalt are required for its function. The mining of lithium in the Atacama Desert in South America and of cobalt in Central Africa, which is not exactly environmentally friendly, have come in for criticism. Our ceramic energy storage system "Green Battery" only requires relatively inexpensive raw materials that are mined in Europe. This also has an effect on a favorable system price.

Another advantage of our new ceramic energy storage "Green Battery": Unlike the lithium-ion battery, the sodium nickel chloride storage unit can neither start to burn nor even explode. It is therefore the safe and cost-effective solution, especially in the static area. Especially in the area of uninterruptible power supply or emergency power supply, our energy storage is a space-saving and maintenance-free alternative to emergency generators.

The feed in our ceramic energy storage "Green Battery" can be done by any power generators: from photovoltaic systems to wind turbines, combined heat and power plants or hydroelectric power, everything is possible. Our efficient energy storage system can also be adapted to all kinds of needs by connecting it in series. No matter whether it is a single-family home, a waste-to-energy plant, a public swimming pool or an entire wind farm. In addition, electricity can be stored in our "green battery" for longer periods - months to years - without any losses.
