In addition to standardized components, Alumina Systems GmbH produces ceramic-metal composite solutions tailored precisely to the customer’s application. In order to minimize the development time of ceramic-metal composite components, Alumina Systems GmbH uses the finite element method (FEM) development tool for component design. Especially for the design of ceramic components, a fracture-statistical post-processor is available to calculate the component fracture probability according to the current state of the art. Different component designs can be quickly compared with each other. A stress-optimized design variant can already be selected before the first prototype is built. The number of prototypes is minimized. This results in cost savings and shortens construction times by several weeks. On the other hand, the simulation time takes around 1-2 weeks.

Alumina Systems GmbH develops the components with its customers until they are ready for series production. Contract work is also offered to users. The costs of a simulation are often significantly lower than the tool costs of an initial sample. We offer mechanical material models and are able to combine these with transient thermal loads. For magneto-electrical calculations, Alumina Systems GmbH can draw on the expertise of the LIKE engineering team.
