Alumina Systems GmbH has once again impressed with its innovative qualities and therefore received the TOP 100 seal 2023. At the end of June, science journalist Ranga Yogeshwar personally presented the coveted trophy to representatives of Alumina Systems in Augsburg. Yogeshwar is a mentor for the TOP 100 innovation competition, which is only awarded to particularly innovative medium-sized companies. Alumina Systems has already received the award in 2017 and 2019. The competition is based on a scientific selection process. Innovation researcher Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and his team examined Alumina Systems on the basis of more than 100 criteria from five categories: Innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success. Of particular importance here is whether a company’s innovations are merely a product of chance or are systematically planned and can therefore be repeated in the future. Alumina Systems is one of the top innovators for the third time. “We have had to overcome a number of crises over the last ten years. Not only have we completely restructured Alumina, we now have twelve product families, ranging from Alumina Energy Systems to Alumina Space Systems. The depth of integration has steadily increased over the years. Our customers attest to our high level of innovation and flexibility. That is why we have gained many new regular customers in recent years.” Says the managing partner Dr. Holger Wampers.
